AI-Accelerated Innovation: The Future is Closer Than You Think

Here is my vision for where we are heading.

The Ironman scene where Robert Downey Jr. collaborates with his AI assistant to create the new suit.

Pulling data, testing designs, testing and building prototypes, and taking care of safety.

We’re not there yet.
But we can see a glimpse of it already.
And that’s freaking nuts.

We can now accelerate every step of the innovation process using AI. Here is the breakdown:

1️⃣ Uncovering opportunities.
When it’s time to make a decision on what to focus on next. AI can help you analyze as much or as little data as you have. Provide you with a variety of outputs, such as casual analysis, SWOT analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.

Here are a few AI tools for uncovering opportunities:

Decision Mentor
• Rationale by Jina AI
Hercule
Peak AI

2️⃣ Building confidence from insights.
When you have piles of insights from long research documents, studies, and reports. AI can help you make sense of it all by identifying patterns and spotting trends.

Here are a few AI tools for building confidence from insights:

AskYourPDF
Bearly AI
Humata
Sharly

3️⃣ Exploring ideas.
AI can help you see how your ideas might look. Even if you can’t bear to make ugly sketches that are hard to understand.

Here are a few AI tools for exploring ideas:

• Stable Diffusion
Midjourney
Seenapse
muse.ai

4️⃣ Designing solutions.
When you have to wait a week or two for a designer to create the first look. Or when three options simply aren’t enough. Or when you want your landing page to be live today. AI can help you design solutions quickly and efficiently.

Here are a few AI tools for designing solutions:

Relume AI
Durable
Flair AI
Uizard

5️⃣ Validating solutions.
When you have the design but want to validate it before you start building it. AI can help you get feedback, without having to wait for testers.

Here are a few AI tools for validating solutions:

Synthetic Users
Memorable AI
Userdoc

I’ll be the first to admit that none of these tools are perfect. But they’re rapidly improving every day and are becoming part of many companies’ workflows.

And while we’re still years away from the dream scene from Ironman, we’re closer than ever.
